March 11, 2025 - COT: Development Report

Today's Date is March 11, 2025.

Dat and Hansel reporting in from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

It has been now about a month since we formed the Church of Technology (as a formal non-profit entity). Since then we have accomplished the following:

·         [our tech and resource gathering initiative] Developed actively working with Brother AI (a simple wrapper, rules set and protocol set our AGENT api calls, this assures that all of our work with AI follows the rules we set (biblical rules and priorities). He is currently only for internal uses, but we can share access to members who wish to test.

·         [tech and resource development initiative] We have launched our “Brother AI Box” as a proof of concept for the new AI-enabled business/websites.  We will begin to offer to our members, friends and family first.

o   This product was developed due to numerous requests from our friends and business partners seeking AI in their small business.

o   Accordingly, we have developed a product that is competitively priced for small business owners.

·         [resource gathering and sharing] we have started discussions with an education startup that has offered us free access to their AI language learning app (designed based on engineer/scientific principles to aid learning).  We hope to share it with members of our church.

·         [out reach] we have begun initial talks and working with some priests, churches, and schools. 

o   There are many needs in this country, but we are taking a slow cautious approach so that our efforts can be maximized to help as many as possible.

·         [Evangelization and positive content] we have finished the demo reel for children bible content.  We are now starting on the animation and sound work for the first chapters.

·         [work/study education program]  today Hansel attended a local university to speak to the students about the Church of Technology, AI, and recruit for our scholarship/work-study program.

·         [first Saturday meeting] Special thank you to everyone who attended our first Saturday group study and AI discussion.  The session went a lot longer than expected, so we are very pleased that people are finding the discussion and talks helpful. 

o   Bi weekly groups! – due to the busy schedule, we hope to shift these meetings to a bi-weekly schedule, we’re still coordinating best times for everyone, but for now we think we will target a late lunch? 1pm.

·         [Evangelization and outreach] we are very excited that Hansel will be preparing for a very popular show in Vietnam.  We hope to use this as an opportunity to reach more people and spread the message of Jesus and AI!

We target to formally launch our channels in April, in time for easter.
